Moderation is not a bad word

Maybe you haven’t heard

The happy medium is not so absurd

Having more is often preferred

It simply means that our payments are deferred

Having less means being less….

this is automatically inferred!

The line between reality and fiction is often blurred

Better to get first and collapse, than to get third.

This through all of our media is concurred

Despite our speech becoming slurred,

We blindly follow the herd.

Even when it leads us through a bird turd.

I am aware of the sore chord that I may have stirred

And yet, I choose moderation.

Call me a nerd.
