Overdoing carries a steep price tag

Why must this be the reason we brag?

How many times must we see the red flag?

Our bodies to the end of each day we drag

We metaphorically stuff more and more in our bag

We travel so much, we have perpetual jet lag

Waking up early and staying up late

When we glimpse in the mirror we see an old hag

the skin beneath our eyes has begun to sag

Who is this sad person?, we quite nearly gag

We need more than a new channel hand bag

It is time for a serious reboot and defrag

Not simply a quick post, tweet or hashtag

Nor a quick distracting game of geo tag

Not even a fun drink with friends to snag

No amount of fabulous swag

could make up the time money and energy lag

when you use your body as a clean up rag.

Let’s ensure we include mind, body and SOUL

to our new multifaceted SELF name tag.

We can hop on our electric bikes…..no need for the Jag!

To propel us up our own main drag!
