We all are seeking our own definition of safety
No one I know does well with scarcity
We share a common need for national security
And we yearn for profound international solidarity
And deep connections within our community
These past few months have created this ….temporarily
At 7pm each night we have joined together in unity
We are sharing the same historical reality
Even if it shifts things momentarily
This has been an experience of great rarity
We are now at a place to refine and redefine prosperity
Re jigging our relationship with DOING and productivity
Health of our nations is on parity
With the wealth of our nations…… in jeopardy
The leaders we trust are the ones with integrity
Who speak with vulnerability, empathy and clarity
Who are transparent in their sincerity
Those who who find hope and strength in the midst of severity
Rather than tweet nonsense with false bravado and temerity
Many have joked at his expense. with a certain degree of hilarity
We are all asked to increase our caring and sharing ability
I believe that we have this deep in our hearts -inherently!
We are asked as a collective to increase our capacity
For deep love and caring, and to up our level of maturity
For some this comes with great facility
Am not so sure that this is the current majority
May we raise our level of immunity
Without causing severe economic impunity
May we join together in this unfolding futurity
