it is all very clear
we must choose love over fear
hold close the ones we love dear
connect with those both far and near
we are all asked our health to adhere
this is a big one, it was a leap year
people are acting with kindness
they’re doing and being sincere
all over the world this is happening
even in the midst of sacrificing their career
no longer are bars open to share a beer
this is a new world we are living in
a whole new frontier
we are asked to stay inside
allow this virus to disappear
this is not the time to act cavalier
the curve is flattening now as the result of pressure from peer
even out walking, around others we veer
we give one another space, we stay 6 feet’ clear
we can all love from the place we are in
open hearts we must generously volunteer
everyone is somehow somewhere affected
whether you live in the right or left hemisphere
this virus has or will, on your life, interfere
we are working on solutions that will engineer
a cure for this – and a way for us all to cohere
may we fight equally hard and persevere
in keeping our hearts open and away from fear
this is better for all and for our atmosphere
It is no time to divide, separate, nor domineer
we are all in this together and together we steer
