Everyone needs a place to live

Everyone needs a place to live

This is a most human and humane objective

It’s actually an imperative

If we truly want what’s best for the collective

It’s not radically progressive

Nor is it simply a utopian perspective

Having a place to live

Is a necessity thats not only cognitive

But also one that is forward thinking and connective

Not to mention highly intuitive

If we are to not only to survive as a species but thrive

We must learn to be responsive

To the needs of the many

To be really and truly inclusive

And not simply surface reactive

To the needs of the few-the selective

The same ones that we allow to lead us

In ways that are most divisive

They are not thinking about the whole

They are constantly and consistently exclusive

Insisting that the most important value is to be productive

This  is the current conservative

leitmotive

And at best it is crazy reductive

Listen.

A home doesn’t need to be expensive

Nor does it need to be expansive

How is that we can continue to allow such massive

Discrepencies in the have and have nots

It’s all so disconnective

Why are we more focused on investments speculative?

If we continue to invest only in what’s lucrative

How will we break this broken narrative

We have become so afraid to speak out-so passive

We are so worried about what will happen if we overgive…

We’ve gotten caught up in what’s ours.

We earned it.

It’s so damn exclusive.

How do we change our lenses to be more inclusive?

Or to what’s collectively nutritive?

Globally Generative

Instead of the argument that its so expensive

-to create housing for all…

What if we could change our perspective?

For once and for all.,…

And we considered what in the name of LOVE is more expansive?

More conducive …..

Of peace in the world?

Continuing to colonize…

With ideas most invasive?

Or live and lead with our hearts

Way less intrusive

Far more supportive

At the risk of being iterative…

Everyone needs a place to live!
